Summer 2003
If you live in the Eastern part of the US, you had a summer like ours...rain, rain, and more rain. It seemed like it rained every two or three days. The river was constantly high, the local lake was contaminated with fecal E coli, so we didn't get Lady LOU out very much this year. As a matter of fact, I think July was the first time we took her out on the water. And even on that day, the river was pretty high. |
Sarah & her Mom (Barb) on the Ohio River. Yes, the river really was that muddy because of all the rain throughout the summer. It rained way too much. |

Sarah & Chris. Since the river is a little dirty, we try not to fall into it. Sarah fell in twice - once when Chris did a quick spin and another when they rolled the 'Doo over. |

What a great day to be on the river |
In August, we took friends camping with us for the weekend at Lake Cumberland. Our group included Jason, Christine, Katie, Chris, Sarah & me. Jason offered to tow the boat down, so he picked it up at the marina and then picked me up and we headed south. Once we got to the campground, we sat up camp, started the campfire and waited for everyone else to arrive. Jason had enough wood in the back of his truck for the entire campground, but after the end of the weekend, we put a good dent into the pile. |

What are these two up to? Jason thought he would be able to get pulled by Chris, but it just didn't work out. |
Here you can see that Jason is falling off the air mattress... |
...And here he is after the fall |
